Getting Together: Storytelling Project
Ashmole School is running a project called 'Getting Together'. The aim of the project is to collect and share stories. The stories can be about anything:
- Journeys
- Funny incidents
- Work stories
- Holiday stories
- Strange events
- Lucky escapes
- Coincidences
- Acts of kindness
…in fact anything that makes a good story! They can be long, short or anything in between. They can be things that have happened to family members, friends or anybody from our local community or stories passed onto them. The stories will form an exhibition in 2024.
The project will be run by Mr Chambers (our Welfare Lead), Lorna Jackson & Richard Neville. Lorna is a researcher, film-maker and podcast producer who has worked for the BBC; Richard is a storycollector and storyteller who has worked at The Museum of London. We would love families to become involved either by donating their own stories or collecting stories for the project. If you are interested in being involved in the project there will be an initial meeting for anyone who is interested on Friday 4th November 3 – 4pm. If you are unable to attend this meeting but would like to know more please contact Mr. Chambers via the school office.
